Before heading to Guaranteed Rate Field for your trip, make sure you are aware of some important details to better prepare for your commute.
The stadium is surrounded by parking lots that open two hours before the first pitch. Fans are advised to arrive early and buy parking passes in advance. If you’re using the CTA, the Sox-35th stop on the red line is just a short walk from the stadium.
The gates to Guaranteed Rate Field will open 90 minutes before the game starts. Only small clutch purses and diaper bags for infants are allowed inside the stadium; all other bags are prohibited.
Starting in 2025, Sox games will be transitioning to a digital format. Tickets will need to be downloaded onto a mobile device and shown at the gate for entry into the stadium. Additionally, all vendors within the stadium will only accept card payments for retail, food, and beverage purchases. Be sure to have your card ready if you want to enjoy a classic ballpark hot dog and beer during the game.
