The Chicago Bulls were relatively quiet in free agency this offseason, but they did secure a significant partnership with an Illinois casino.
The team announced that Wind Creek Casino Chicago Southland will be their official partner. The casino is set to open in September 2025 and is situated approximately 20 miles south of Chicago.
Brett Pinkston, the chief operating officer of Wind Creek Hospitality, emphasized the significance of raising awareness about the upcoming casino’s grand opening.
As a new brand entering the Chicagoland market, we recognized the importance of establishing our name and credibility with the local community as swiftly as possible.
As a local resident, I believe partnering with the Bulls organization is the best way to reach one of the biggest and most dedicated fan bases in professional sports. This will allow us to make a strong entrance into the market and establish a significant presence.
What does the partnership mean for fans?
Attendees at Bulls games at the United Center will see new in-venue entertainment featuring the Wind Creek brand, with marketing, hospitality, and Bulls social media posts promoting the southside casino.
Fans will have the opportunity to participate in a social media sweepstakes in upcoming seasons, with the grand prize being a trip to one of Wind Creek’s casino and hotel resorts.
During Bulls games, the ‘Hi-Lo’ contest will be featured on the jumbotron. Fans can participate by guessing whether the next jersey displayed will be higher or lower than the previous one. Those who guess correctly will win a free bag of Garrett Popcorn.
According to Bulls vice president of business development, Mark Levitt, here is his statement regarding the deal:
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Wind Creek for the upcoming seasons, which will introduce fans to exciting in-arena competitions, engaging social content, and fun sweepstakes. This collaboration will enhance the gameday experience for Bulls fans at the United Center and on our social media platforms.
