In June, the Chicago Bears’ exclusive sports betting partner rebranded to BetRivers. BetRivers has signed legendary Bears player Mike Ditka to a multi-year contract as their brand ambassador, solidifying his place as one of the most iconic figures in franchise history.
The Bears, led by head coach Mike Ditka, also known as “Da Coach”, won the Super Bowl in 1985, marking the last time the team secured the championship.
Ditka’s strong finishes helped the Bears 12 times and earned him a spot in the NFL Hall of Fame.
The president of Rush Street Interactive, Richard Schwartz, who owns BetRivers, declared:
We are honored to partner with NFL legend Mike Ditka, a highly respected mentor with a significant impact in Chicago and the sports world. From player to coach to analyst, his success speaks for itself. We are excited for him to bring his expertise and passion to our sports betting platform at BetRivers.com.
Ditka will create content for BetRivers’ online platforms, including the Illinois online sportsbook. He will provide “Da Coach’s Picks of the Week” and “Beat Da Coach”, focusing on upcoming Chicago Bears games.
During his speech, Ditka declared:
My main goal as a coach has always been to achieve victory. BetRivers is committed to building trustworthy relationships with its customers. I am eager to enhance these connections by providing successful strategies to its players.
Although BetRivers reached out to numerous individuals with condolences, they were only able to persuade Ditka, who is arguably the most well-known former Bear, to join their team. Additionally, Ditka brings a wealth of internet expertise to the table.
It is evident that BetRivers is wholeheartedly supporting the Chicago Bears.
Triangle of Bears, BetRivers, and Arlington Park
The Bears have been actively involved in both on-field and off-field activities throughout the season.
Their acquisition of Arlington International Racecourse and the signing of quarterback Justin Fields caused quite a commotion.
The Bears have submitted an offer to buy the 326-acre land, and if Churchill Downs accepts their bid, they will move from Soldier Field to Arlington Heights. This move would mark a major shift in the team’s business operations.
Furthermore, BetRivers is included in that category. Rivers Casino in Des Plaines is co-owned by Churchill Downs and Rush Street. Churchill Downs does not seem willing to sell Arlington Park to individuals seeking to gamble at casinos like Rivers.
The Bears do not fall into that group. Following the announcement of their offer for Arlington Park, they quickly formed an exclusive partnership with BetRivers.
The Bears could be making their way towards the urban areas.
Underdogs for Bears Week 1 @ Rams
Despite the excitement for Bears fans, the Week 1 matchup against the Rams is not a reason to look forward to. Here are the latest odds for the Chicago Bears:
Chicago is currently a 7-point underdog at most online sportsbooks in Illinois. Andy Dalton is expected to start over Fields, potentially working behind an improvised offensive line.
The Bears kick off their summer schedule with a game against the Dolphins on Saturday.
